Since I am on a mission of exploration – including finding new blogs and insights I thought this was a challenge I would willing take on. In the blog Finding Grace Within each Tuesday a word is given to reflect on – this week it is “renew”.
I started by checking the thesaurus and it appeared I was on the right track – replenish, rekindle, revitalize, rejuvenate, repair and revive to list a few. Renew to me is a few things one re-connecting with things/people I have maybe let go of due to life circumstances. Renewing old friendships, causes or things you did in the past you enjoyed but have let slide. Remember the feeling of coming across a new novel by a favorite author you haven’t read in awhile? For me it is like renewing an old friendship.
I also like the idea of renew as revitalize and rejuvenate. I am currently creating the life I want to live – inviting more possibilities in, creating new opportunities (starting a blog!!) I am rejuvenated on life and all it has to offer if I just open the door – if we just open the door. So let’s renew our commitment to create the life we want to live you can always start now!

Last year renewal was my world of the year. It was about reconnecting with myself and my old friends. It was about clearing out clutter, rewriting my career choices and letting go of “things” that were taking up too much time in our lives. Renew is a great word, it’s an active word and it brings you to new places.
