Happy International Women’s Day !
Since starting my blog I feel a part of a community of women (majority not all – you men are great also). There is sharing, support and encouragement in blogging. Connecting on Facebook groups to share each other’s posts and lead us to each other’s sites. All questions are answered in a respectful manner, encouragement offered and congratulations are always flowing. There is enough success for everyone and everyone recognizes this. No competition here people!
I think as bloggers (both sexes) we have it covered in diversity, support and inclusion. We realize that happiness and success are infinite and the more we give the more there is. We are an example of collective action. Now if we could just package what we have to offer to the rest of world. I think by continuing to do what we do we are making a start. Maybe one more action would be to take our support, encouragement and inclusion to the world outside of blogging. I’m sure we are.
So bloggers/creatives (FYI we are all creatives!) Happy International Women’s Day. Thank you for showing what individuals can do in a non-competitive, inclusive, supportive community! We rock.
You can always start now !
Wonderful commentary my friend, yes we do rock and ROCK ON we shall – thank you for all your support and encouragement on my journey…I am glad you are on one too. xxoo

I never realised how great and supportive the blogging community was until I started writing. It’s daunting putting yourself out there. But I have received nothing but positive feedback.
I have many many fab women from blogging too, including yourself. All diverse, yet part of a welcoming community.
We all rock, and may we continue to!

Amelia, I truly treasure you as a friend (to the other readers, I have had the honor to meet Amelia in person) and a fellow blogger. You are an inspiration to all and thank you for your support in the SIPB group and other SM as well. You rock it, lady.

Great post as always Amelia! This is not a knock on anyone or any belief. I’m just going to share my opinion. And it is just that. An opinion. I think as a whole, society would be better off though if we stopped playing into the idea there are set days or months for our differences. It sort of does the opposite of unifying us as one group. Any time we make ourselves into or part of a group then it immediately sets everyone else into a group of “not that”. It fractures unity. True unity becomes the collateral damage unintentionally of course.

I know exactly what you are saying the us versus them mentality can come into play. To have true unity I think we have to think globally. Human race. Period. Full stop. Thanks for visiting and sharing. I think starting a conversation is essential and having a safe place crucial. I’m glad we are each other safe place.
