Winter Tag – your it !

Just before the Christmas holidays I was visiting the Sarcastic Bohemian. She had a winter-holiday tag post. It was a list of questions she answered about her holidays traditions and well winter! She found the tag over at Simply Lovely 90.  Check them both out!

I liked the idea, but Christmas was almost on top of me so I filed it away.  I decided to pull the idea out  and to a winter tag post.  So here it goes!

Here are my answers to the below questions.  I don’t have a favorite winter activity per say, but I do enjoy the cooler weather and walking. I love fresh snow and how the light hits it.

I would say a scarf for my winter accessory and I am a mitten person! For some reason I feel my hands are warmer in mittens. Plus I usually have items from keys to bus pass in my mittens and mitts are easier to slip things in to than gloves.

Mac-n-cheese for a winter bite of choice. If it is on the menu at a restaurant I will seriously consider ordering it!

Snow all the way over rain. I don’t mind walking and being out when it is snowing but rain hmm….. not so much.

I like to curl up with a good mystery. Mysteries or thriller are my favorite genre. If I can find an author with a series – well I’m in for the rest of the winter.

So I am tagging or throwing the snowball to anyone who would like to participate in winter tag. Here are my questions!  Feel free to add your own, change and shake stuff up.

  1. Do you have a favorite winter activity?
  2. What is your favorite winter accessory?
  3. Do you have a go-to winter food/meal?
  4. Are you a glove or mitten person?
  5. Would you prefer rain or snow during the winter?
  6. What book would you recommend to curl up with on a storm day?
  7. Do you embrace winter or dread it?

You can always start now!

Hmm….clam chowder that sounds delicious. I enjoy a change of seasons as I focus on different things in different season. More at home during the winter to write and craft. I like snow. Woke up to it this morning but now raining (slush I hate!). Should have rubber boots on today! Thanks for participating!!

This seems like a fun tag! Scarves are my favorite accessory too & I love mac n cheese! I also prefer snow over rain because if it’s going to be so cold, then it might as well snow!

Oh boy! I love walking in the snow, it’s so peaceful.
My favorite winter accessory is hand warmers and gloves
My go to meal is Bean Soup
I prefer snow instead of rain in the winter
I dread winter because of the cold and I don’t like driving in the snow, but I love winter as a season because a just fallen snow is beautiful!

There is something special about walking in the snow. Everything looks so fresh and clean at the first snowfall. I don’t mind the cold if dressed for it. In the winter I prefer cold and blue sky over above freezing, rain and overcast. We haven’t had much snow this year – it comes and goes. Bean soup would so work for me!

You know, I haven’t read a good mystery in awhile… do you have a favorite writer? I was in to the Odd Thomas series for awhile, but that’s a bit paranormal. I think I need an escape read…

Mysteries/thrillers. Harlan Coben has a series where main character is Myron Bolitar (I am in love with him – Myron I mean). Also enjoy James Patterson Alex Cross series. Years ago read Sue Grafton A is for…. B is for… and enjoyed. Theme here is I enjoy a series where there is character development and I feel like I am visiting an old friend and catching up when I read another book. If that makes sense.
