It is that time of the week again for Stream of Consciousness Saturday! Where I am given a word and can just let it rip! Check out Linda G Hill for all the details and other writing prompts during the week.
The first thing I thought about when I read the prompt was hide and seek. Weird I know. We used to play it all summer and my strategy was if I was caught with a bunch of people and I would run like mad just behind the person who caught us, or the “seeker”, so that he/she had to say my name first at home base. This guaranteed I wouldn’t be the next one to close my eyes and count to twenty. That I was safe for the next round of play.
You can always start now!
I preferred to seek 🙂
Thanks for playing along today!

I enjoy the Saturday prompt. I think for me it was the hard fast run at the end I enjoyed for some reason!

I loved hide-and-seek– your heart pounding as you waited to see if the seeker would find you, and the relief when you heard other giggles, signaling someone else found first– SAFE!

I enjoyed it too – back alley ways (city girl) and running for it. Why don’t we play more of these games as adults???
