What is currently inspiring me

We get inspiration from all around us.  I think the more we explore and push our boundaries the more inspired we will become.  Exploring new things exposes us to new ideas or a different way of thinking.  Here are a few things that are currently inspiring me.

People creating I have always found inspiring.  There is something about listening to someone describe or do their passion that I find fascinating. It doesn’t necessarily have to be something I am interested in doing myself, but there is an energy that individuals give off that pulls me in.

I went to PodCamp (check out the post) last month and that got me thinking about YouTube as a platform.  These two bloggers/creatives as currently inspiring me with their podcasts.  Jen Carrington and Me and Orla interview other creatives in a relaxed, fun way that brings you right into their space.  It is encouraging to hear other creatives share their stories of what worked and what didn’t.  It has me thinking of interviews and possibilities of collaboration.

This past fall I finally started Instagram and a bullet journal.  I am enjoying them both.  I am capturing my year on Instagram #2017startingnow.  My bullet journal is keeping me on track (the majority of the time!). So when I found out that BoHo Berry was combining both Instagram and bullet journal in the month of March – well how inspiring is that!

There is so much out there to get our juices flowing. Just look around you and explore possibilities.  Get excited and inspired over new ideas or old ideas you want to revisit.  Please let me know what is currently inspiring you.

You can always start now !

I’ll look to see if there’s a podcamp in my area! What’s a bullet journal?
I’m inspired by the fact that we still have several weeks (months) of summer left. I plan to get outside and enjoy the cooler weather today!

Also check to see if there are any WordCamp in your area. Bullet journal just a “to do” list really. Pinterest has a done of tutorials on putting them together that are worth a look. Just search bullet journal. I’m in Canada so our summer can be short so I’m all about taking them in. Off to patio hop in five minutes!!

I love reading quotes, I always get inspired reading things other people have written. Sometimes I’ll read a quote and find hidden meaning in my own path. Thanks for sharing, stay inspired!!

I love quotes also. Started a Pinterest board of them. Before that wrote them in a journal. Agree sometime they resonate so strongly it feels like it was just what you needed to read/hear at that moment.

Little things inspire me–particularly unexpected things. I was on an errand recently that I definitely did not want to be doing. As I drove down the street something caught my eye. A man, skinny, bent and stooped with age, pushed a baby in a stroller down the street. A grandpa pushing a little one isn’t all that shocking, really. But it caused me to wonder about his generation and what a “man’d job” was when he was young. Now, he’s out pushing a stroller down a city street and enjoying the moment. It made the errand less a chore and more a moment for reflection on the human spirit and love.
Because life is sometimes filled with “must-do’s” I’m grateful for both the ability to see the beauty in the accidental, and that there’s so much beauty to see!
On another note–I love the idea of casual conversations with creatives. It’s sort of what Elizabeth Gilbert does with her Magic Lessons podcast. Looking forward to seeing where your musings lead you!

I was heading out the door when I read your email and wanted to respond when I had time. I so agree it is seeing humanity in everyday life and appreciating it. Your email about the older man pushing the stroller was on my mind when I started walking and within three blocks I see grandparents (assumption) with the man pushing the stroller and the woman holding the little girl’s hand and I thought of your story and knew I had to tell you. You made me more aware of things while I was walking to destination. Thank you. I also love casual conversation with creatives – there is an energy that comes from them. Have listened to Elizabeth Gilbert podcasts. I think that is one of the reason I enjoy blogging it is being with creatives and people who share, support and encourage each other. So lets see where all our musing lead us.

Thank you so much for telling me about your experience in seeing something new in an ordinary place. That’s wonderful! So much good musings! And we get to do it together. 🙂

Oh just looking at “to do” list and I’m going to listen to a podcast at Balzer Designs called summer projects while I do my ironing later. Always happy to hear what other people are doing.

Agree inspiration is all around us it is just making sure we have our eyes and minds open for it. I think this is where mindfulness comes into play – being aware of exactly where you are right now. Not head in the clouds planning tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
