Monthly craft challenge – fabric

If you are just tuning in Wanda, over at A Wandafulthing, and I have been challenging ourselves monthly for the past year to use an item in a creative way.  This month was fabric.  I don’t have a sewing machine so I knew I had to start looking at other creative ways to produce my item!  Of course I headed over to Pinterest.

I want to bring some pink into my bedroom so decided pillows were a start.  I found no-sew bandanna pillows and voila. Too easy, just put pillow between bandannas and tie at corners with ribbon or whatever your fancy.  I used red wool left over from a Christmas project as it was the right color and did the job. Was thinking if you made a more rustic pillow twine would be neat to use as a tie also.  I didn’t tack the sides but that would be an option.

The pillow will be heading into my bedroom where I dug out a quilt I made years ago all pastel colors.

Wanda used bath mats she picked up at the Dollar Tree and an old table-cloth she cut up for the back piece.  Just stuff and sew together. They look great.  Head over to A Wandafulthing to check out more pictures and details.
